David W. Ballard




David Ballard is a freelance writer, poet, and author. He studied poetry at Georgetown University under the tutelage of Judith Farr, an expert on the works of Emily Dickinson. David W. Ballard graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in English. Based on the merit of his poetry that he had written earlier at Georgetown, Mr. Ballard earned admission into the prestigious Craft of Poetry class, taught by Georgetown professor Roland Flint, the poet laureate of Maryland from 1995-2000. While he was a student, he studied poetry in what began as his call to honor God with his writing. David Ballard's poetry book, "Souls Seeking Harbor," is an outgrowth of his faith-journey and provides spiritual insight into the elements of overcoming emotional pain despite the adversities of trauma.
