Jacquelyn Gaines




Jacquelyn Gaines received her B.S.N. from the University of Maryland School of Nursing and went on to earn her M.S. from the University of Maryland with a major in primary health care/ health care administration. She became the first black female to run a hospital in Oregon and later serviced as the Regional President and CEO for Mercy Health Partners in Northeast Pennsylvania. Her first book, Believing You Can Fly (Dorrance Publishing Company Date: Jan. 22, 2009) is a bestseller. The Yellow Suit: A Guide for Women in Leadership (Arrie Publishing Company Date: Nov. 1, 2013) is her second book. Destination Infinity: Reflections and Career Lessons from a Road Warrior (Arrie Publishing Company Date: Dec. 20, 2013)is her third book and all her books are available on this website, Amazon, Barnes & Noble and where books are sold. She and her husband reside in North Carolina, where she enjoys spending her free time gardening, playing with her grandchildren, walking and listening to quiet jazz.
